Man fatally shot while answering front door in Germantown identified

Philadelphia Police on Tuesday identified the man who was fatally shot while answering his front door on Magnolia Street in East Germantown late Sunday night.



David Hurd, 29, of the 6200 block of Magnolia St., was fatally shot while looking through the peephole after hearing a knock at the door just before midnight.

Police, who believe the shooting stemmed from a previous argument, did not provide a description of the shooter on Tuesday afternoon.
