Man fatally shot in NJ home, charges pending against suspect

Authorities are probing a fatal shooting at a southern New Jersey residence.

Camden County prosecutors say Audubon police responded to the home shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday. They found 51-year-old Steven Johnston dead from gunshot wounds in an upstairs apartment.

A man was immediately taken into custody at the scene without incident and was being questioned by police. His name has not been released, but authorities say charges are pending against him.

No other injuries were reported in the incident, and a motive for the shooting has not been disclosed.
