Maddy’s owner thought it was a costume pet parade
Weavers Way held a pet parade on Saturday in front of its Mt. Airy store. This is my poodle Maddy. I assumed the parade was going to be competitive with prizes offered. So I dressed my dog in her angel wings thinking we could win a big trip to Key West or something. What was I thinking?
This is Mt. Airy! All dogs are treated equal here. They gave out red ribbons with the word “winner” on them to every dog. Maddy was a little mad at me because she was the only one with a costume. (Alan Tu/NewsWorks)
