Storm brings much loss, but some discovery

Listen

So much of the discussion since Superstorm Sandy hit one year ago has focused on loss.  From homes to neighborhoods to belongings to a feeling of safety, residents in coastal areas are mourning many things taken by the storm.  But in the last year, we’ve also heard many stories of neighbors who didn’t know each other that well coming together, during moments of crisis and during the long rebuilding period.

We want to know what you’ve lost and found as a result of the storm, whether it’s something physical — photographs, letters, possessions — or something more abstract. For example, perhaps you found a new friend in a neighbor you never really talked to before.
