Do you have the Easter blues? Do you want some?
Hours after the hymns have been sung, the ham has been carved, and the eggs have all been found, you may find yourself sitting around wishing for something to do this Sunday.
If what you’re looking for sounds like a stiff drink and some smooth sounds, head towards the Shambles in Headhouse Square for Evening Blues at the Twisted Tail.
This “all-ages open blues jam” kicks off upstairs at 5 p.m. each week. For an added twist — you can grab a guitar off the wall (there are more than a few) or bring your own harmonica and join in the jam.
Not musically inclined? No worries and no pressure. The show will go on, the kitchen will be serving (in case you haven’t gotten your fill of festive eats) and the bar is fully stocked, offering a truly impressive whiskey, bourbon and scotch selection (menu below).
We stopped by last weekend to check out the scene, and it’s a vibe we at Plated can fully recommend. From the dim lights to the bright service and right on through the live acts, it’s is a genuinely solid spot to round out a weekend.
