Independence Dragon Boat Regatta to cause Kelly Drive detour on Saturday
This Saturday, the Independence Dragon Boat Regatta is in town and, for drivers, that means planning ahead for a Kelly Drive road closure.
The street closure will begin at 5 a.m. and run until 8 p.m. with traffic detouring from the Strawberry Mansion Bridge to Fountain Green Drive. Detour signs will be posted to guide travelers around the closure and delays are expected to be minimal.
Southbound detour
Traffic traveling southbound on Kelly Drive will be detoured up the Strawberry Mansion ramp to Fountain Green Drive by utilizing Reservoir Drive.
Northbound detour
Northbound Kelly Drive traffic will be detoured up Fountain Green Drive via Reservoir Drive.
