Enchanted Summer Day

Join us at our magical Enchanted Summer Day! Fairy princesses, enchanted woodsmen, and all magical beings are invited to run, skip, and play while enjoying a full day of festivities. The Celtic tunes of roving musicians will fill the air as a magician demonstrates his sleight of hand. Kids can make magic wands and magnificent mice at our arts and crafts table and enjoy delicious ice cream from Woodside Farm Creamery! Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, June 16th, 11 A.M.

Far off in a distant galaxy, the starship transporting Princess Leia, a young member of the Imperial Senate, is intercepted in the course of its secret mission by a massive Imperial Star Destroyer. Will Princess Leia escape in time to save the Rebel forces?  With help from the two loveable droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO, as well as handsome Han Solo, furry Chewbacca, Jedi Obi-Wan and her brother (spoiler alert) Luke Skywalker, of course she does!! But, only this time, the Princess does it to music with tap-dancing Stormtroopers. Entertainment for the entire family. OperaDelaware Studios, June 16th, 8 P.M. and June 17th, 3 P.M.

Biggs Summer ArtVentures Camp I

During this ArtVenture camp we will explore color, basic drawing techniques and impressionist painting. Each participant will create original artwork to be displayed in the Museum for a children’s exhibition. This camp will encourage your child to reach beyond the ordinary and let their imaginations soar! Things may get messy so be sure to wear old clothing. Biggs Museum of American Art, June 18th – 22nd, 9 A.M.

Jesse Garron’s Tribute to Elvis

Acclaimed as the “closest thing to the King”, Jesse possesses the voice, looks and charisma that made Elvis a superstar. His Vegas-style rendition is a consistent fan favorite that draws audiences in from the minute he walks on stage and leaves them standing at the end of the performance. He is a natural front-man, interacting with the crowd at all times and signing autographs after the show. The Freeman Stage at Bayside, June 21st, 7 P.M.
