Food Truck Pop-Up

Friday, June 1, 6-10pm. Lutheran Settlement House, 1390 Frankford Avenue. The Philadelphia Mobile Food Association, the food-truck trade group, has organized its second pop-up event with trucks like Lil Dan’s Gourmet, Sweetbox Cupcakes, and Smoke Truck. A portion of the sales will support the Lutheran Settlement House’s charitable work. Pay as you go.

Roots Picnic

Saturday, June 2, at Noon and Sunday June 3, starts at 5pm. Festival Pier, Penn’s Landing. Philly’s own Legendary Roots Crew host their fifth annual Roots Picnic this weekend, which for the first time stretches over two days. Saturday’s lineup features De La Soul (backed by The Roots), LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, tUnE-yArDs, and Sunday’s includes Rakim, Dipole, and Kid Cudi. Philly Beer Week’s Craft Beer Day

Sunday, June 3, 11am-2am. East Passyunk Avenue. East Passyunk Avenue is celebrating beer week with specials at eight of the avenue’s restaurants and bars, including fruit beer floats at the Bottle Shop and a Beer at Stateside with Victory. Free, pay as you go.
