The Frog Prince
Missoula Children’s Theatre will work with more than 50 local students to present this enchanting musical fairy tale. Deep in the royal swamp, a selfish Princess makes a promise to befriend a lonely Frog after he retrieves her golden ball from a well. But what happens when the Princess tries every trick in the book to break her promise? The Grand, July 30th, 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Delaware Shakespeare Festival Presents Macbeth
Make plans to attend the annual Delaware Shakespeare Festival’s performance of MacBeth. Held on the South Lawn behind our beautiful Victorian Rockwood Mansion. Bring a picnic dinner, drinks are available to purchase. Rockwood Mansion Park, July 30th, 7:30 p.m. and July 31st, 7:30 p.m.
Family Fun Summer Series
Bring a picnic basket—or purchase food in the DelART Café—and then enjoy special performances while your family relaxes on the Museum’s Terrace or in the Copeland Sculpture Garden. Towards the end of the evening, families can wind down with special story-readings for both children and adults in Museum. Delaware Art Museum, August 6th, 4 p.m.
Annie Get Your Gun
Irving Berlin at his best! “They Say It’s Wonderful,” “I Got the Sun in the Mornin’,” and “There’s No Business Like Show Business!” are highlighted in this sharp-shootin’ musical performed by Clear Space Productions. Cape Henlopen Theatre, July 30th and 31st, 7 p.m., August 1st, 3 p.m.
Art on the Town
Join us for loop night sponsored by the City of Wilmington. Art on the Town is a great way to view exhibitions in our galleries and visit the artist studios during our extended gallery hours. Art on the Town is free and open to the public. Live music with guest musician Shaun Dougherty 6 p.m. Artist opening: Delainey Barclay and Jane Quartarone, Oasis. Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, August 6th, 5 p.m.
