“Jihad Jane” scheduled to change plea

The Montgomery County woman known to the world as “Jihad Jane” appears to be ready to retract her “not guilty” plea on charges of aiding terrorists.

The Philadelphia Federal Court docket for next week includes a “change of plea hearing” for Colleen LaRose of Pennsburg.WHYY could not reach LaRose’s attorney Mark Wilson for comment. CNN quotes Wilson as saying his client will plead guilty.LaRose pleaded not guilty in March 2010, but had been in custody since October 2009.  She’s accused of trying to recruit terrorists online and enlist them to assassinate a Swedish cartoonist made famous for drawings of the Prophet Mohammed.
