Jewelry thief strikes at Concord Mall

State Police are looking for a man accused of taking a $9,000 ring from a jewelry store at Concord Mall.

The robber went to the Del Haven Jewelers in the mall around 7:35 Thursday night and asked to look at some rings that were on display.  When the 26-year-old store employee took out a ring to show the man, he snatched it from her hands and ran from the store.  The worker was not injured.

The suspect is described as a black man with a large build and a beard.  He was last seen wearing glasses, a tan golf hat, and a brown jacket.

State Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the robber.  Tips can be offered to the Delaware Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-TIP-3333, or online at tipsubmit.com.
