Jenkintown continues search for new borough manager

Dozens of applications have been submitted to replace former Jenkintown Borough Manager Michael English. English officially resigned May 5 to take a similar position in West Conshohocken.

The move cuts down English’s commute from his Bryn Mawr home from 50 minutes to 15.

The Glenside News Globe Times Chronicle reports seven candidates will be chosen for review from the many applications, and the selection committee hopes to have a new manager in place by the end of the summer.

English held the Jenkintown role for nearly four years.
