Could sports betting be applied to Nutter’s budget speech?
The It’s Our Money team has big plans to make Mayor Nutter’s address to Council, coming this Thursday, one of the biggest gambling days of the year.
What will Nutter say? Will he propose raising taxes again? Cutting the police budget? Or maybe he’ll suggest some new investments this time?
On this week’s It’s Our Money podcast, Doron Taussig and Ben Waxman set odds for what the mayor will and will not say. They wanted to set up an illegal gambling website that lets people actually make bets on these lines, but the Newsworks editors were spoilsports.
