Is this wall ugly?

A handful of neighbors who have to look at this green wall everyday at SEPTA’s Sedgwick Station on the Chestnut Hill East line want it spruced up.

According to Kelly O’Day, who is spearheading the effort , he says the wall is owned by the developer of the Devon Village townhomes that are being built in the area on the other side of the green wall.

The builder, according to O’Day, offered to paint the wall to make neighbors happy. But O’Day says that’ not enough. First he says that the new paint won’t stick to the crumbling wall and he wants it covered with white stucco, which is how the backside of the wall is finished.

This Monday, June 13, East Mt. Airy Neighbors has scheduled a meeting with O’Day’s forces and the Devon Village builder to see if they can reach an agreement.
