Independence Day celebrations spread to Delaware museum

As people celebrate Independence Day across the country, some children at a local museum were able to get creative while learning about the holiday.

The Delaware Children’s Museum in Wilmington hosted arts and crafts for young people and even held story time with a Fourth of July theme. In fact, it was a fun history lesson for children when they were introduced to the book, “The Story of America’s birthday,” by author Patricia A. Pingry. The festivities were all part of the museum’s “Happy Birthday, USA” program.

Museum officials also helped children celebrate Independence Day with a mid-day patriotic parade around the museum.
