Hundreds pack meals for Delaware’s needy in Sussex County
300 volunteers packed thousands of food boxes to be distributed to the needy in Delaware and Maryland.
50,000 people in need will get food thanks to the efforts of 300 volunteers who spent hours this morning packing canned goods and other food stuffs into boxes that will be delivered to residents around the Delmarva peninsula.
The food drive is part of Mountaire Farms’ 19th Annual Thanksgiving for Thousands event. Roughly 7,500 boxes of food were assembled for delivery.
