Historic win for Delaware women at NCAA tournament

So far so good for the University of Delaware in the women’s NCAA tournament.  The Blue Hens dominated hometown favorite Arkansas-Little Rock on Sunday, winning 72-43.

Blue Hen star Elena Delle Donne dominated the game, nearly single handedly outscoring Arkansas.  She finished the game with 39 points.  She was on track to top the 50 point mark, but coach Tina Martin had her rest on the bench for the final nine minutes of the game.

Up next for the Hens is a Tuesday night match-up against a much tougher Kansas team.  Kansas, a number 11 seed, knocked off number six Nebraska 57-49.  Tip-off for the game on Tuesday is scheduled for 9:40 p.m.
