Gov. Christie orders flags at half-staff for Mali victims

Gov. Chris Christie has ordered flags on state buildings to fly at half-staff Tuesday to mourn the victims of last week’s attack in Mali that killed a woman raised in New Jersey.

At least 20 people were killed in the attack on a hotel in Bamako, Mali, including 41-year-old Anita Datar.

Datar grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Mount Olive High School and Rutgers University.

The Takoma Park, Maryland, resident was a senior manager at Palladium Group, an international development organization with offices in Washington.
