Gas prices in Delaware on the rise again

After two weeks of relative stability, gas prices in Delaware rose by an average of seven cents per  gallon during the past week, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic.

Drivers are now paying an average of $3.57 for a gallon of regular gasoline.  The auto club says gas prices caught up to rising crude oil prices.  Retailers are also switching to a mandated summer-blend gasoline that’s more expensive.  Unrest in the oil-rich Middle East is expected to further drive up the cost of crude, and gas prices likely will continue an upward trend, according to AAA.  A year ago, the average price of gasoline in Delaware was $2.76 a gallon
