After two weeks of relative stability, gas prices in Delaware rose by an average of seven cents per gallon during the past week, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic.
Drivers are now paying an average of $3.57 for a gallon of regular gasoline. The auto club says gas prices caught up to rising crude oil prices. Retailers are also switching to a mandated summer-blend gasoline that’s more expensive. Unrest in the oil-rich Middle East is expected to further drive up the cost of crude, and gas prices likely will continue an upward trend, according to AAA.
