Gallery: Penn Knox Neighbors Association’s Germantown Community Garden tour

On Sunday, the Penn Knox Neighbors Association led a a tour of six distinctive community gardens which harvest food in the city’s Germantown neighborhood.

Throughout the course of the day, the group checked out Church Lane Garden, Mastery Pickett Community Garden, Old Tennis Court Farm Garden, Hansberry Garden and Nature Center, West Rockland Street Garden and the Germantown Kitchen Garden.

Said Dana Sherer of PKNA, “It was a great day with 25 to 30 steady participants and more folks at each garden.”

Sherer was kind enough to share many pictures taken of the event with NewsWorks. Many more are available on the group’s Facebook page.
