Funeral set for Burlington County teenager
Funeral arrangements have been made for Burlington County teenager Sarah Townsend. The 18-year-old will be laid to rest Sunday, two weeks after her disappearance.
Family and friends will honor her memory Sunday in Florence.
Services will begin late Sunday afternoon at the Florence United Methodist Church, followed by a 9 p.m. reception. The Times of Trenton reports Sarah’s parents asked her high school to reschedule a vigil meant for last night until the family is able to attend. The school will hold a information session tomorrow night for parents to talk about loss and coping strategies.
Townsend’s body was discovered last Friday in a pond near her home. Her cause of death has not yet been determined.
