Four horses discovered loose in Delaware; police attempt to locate owners

Two ponies and two full-size horses were discovered over the weekend in the community of Centerville Reserve.

The horses, apparently well-cared for, were wandering along Centrenest Lane in the neighborhood at about 6:00 a.m. Sunday.  One is a gray pony, the other pony a chestnut / gray mix.  The larger horses are chestnut in color.  Once the horses were corraled, New Castle County Police say they were taken to the home of a nearby resident who has a small farm.  So far, police have not been able to determine who owns the horses.  Anyone with information is asked to call police at 302-573-2800 or visit www.nccpd.com.
