Food Bank of Delaware encourages winter donation drives

The Food Bank of Delaware says it is 31,615 pounds short of meeting its holiday food drive goal of 150,000 pounds for needy families and individuals in the First State.

The Food Bank says there is still time to meet the gap this winter. “Heat or Eat” food drives are being encouraged to highlight the difficult decisions more Delawareans are facing:  stock the pantry, or pay the heating bill?  Organizations and citizens interested in contributing to the Food Bank or hosting a food drive in January or February may visit www.fbd.org or call 302-444-8073.
