Fliers announce new Fishtown hotel, much to the surprise of neighbors, planners
Is there a new hotel coming to Fishtown or not?
Based on the little information the city and neighborhood leaders have and the minimal information a hotel managing partner provided, the answer is not anytime soon.
PlanPhilly is looking into the website and the fliers circulating through Fishtown and Northern Liberties that advertise the forth-coming O Havana luxury hotel on Delaware Avenue across from SugarHouse Casino.
SugarHouse is unaware of the project, as seem to be the nearby neighborhood organizations and city planning outlets.
The only person PlanPhilly could get in touch with said he can’t answer more questions until he returns from a business trip in Asia.
The flier projects a 2013 opening, which isn’t likely given the mysterious nature of the development.
