Fight leads to shooting outside Germantown Ave. gas station

A 32-year-old man was shot four times after a fight outside a gas station at the corner of Germantown Ave. and Washington Lane on Tuesday.

The victim, who was initially taken to Chestnut Hill Hospital, was shot twice in the buttocks and twice in the shoulder around 3:10 p.m.

The shooting stemmed from a fight in the street near a Sunoco gas station at that intersection, police said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Northwest Detective Division at (215) 686-3353/54 or the tips line at (215) 686-TIPS, text a tip to PPD TIP (773847) or send it in via the department’s website.

Correction: An earlier version of this story listed the wrong cross street for the gas-station location. NewsWorks apologizes for the error.
