Federal tax deadline looms at midnight tonight

Midnight tonight is the deadline to have your federal tax returns postmarked or submitted electronically.

Due to a federal holiday in Washington DC, the April 15th deadline was extended this year to April 18th.  As electronic filing has become more and more popular, post offices expect to be much calmer than in the past.  In fact, only one in Delaware will be open until midnight to handle last-minute returns:  the facility at Hare’s Corner in New Castle.
