The Tuskegee Airmen

From 1941 to 1946, in the midst of World War II, a question was raised and answered conclusively in a noble experiment that later became known as the “Tuskegee Experience”. The Tuskegee Airmen, our nation’s first African-American military aviators, are remembered in a presentation designed to tell their story and reveal the significance of their achievements. Their story is prefaced by the achievements of other African-American warriors and civilian aviators who preceded the “Tuskegee Experience”.  Delaware Public Archives, February 4th, 10:30 A.M.

A Celebration of Black History

The cast for A Celebration of Black History will celebrate the diversity of talent that comes through the African American tradition. Performers will present narrations, dance, music, and historical information, and the show will trace the timeline of African roots to current African American culture. Possum Hall, February 10th and 11th, 7 P.M., and February 13th, 2 P.M.
