OH BOY! A Tribute to Buddy Holly will be appearing at the Queen on Saturday, February 2, 2013. The show will commemorate this, the fifty-fourth anniversary of “The Day the Music Died.”  Founded by Rehoboth Beach-based Walt Hetfield, the four-piece tribute band and stage show features Hetfield as “Buddy” and guitarist Mike Long, bassist and pianist Barry Eli, and drummer Ken Schleifer reprising the role of his back-up band, the Crickets. World Cafe Live at the QueenFebruary 2nd, 8 P.M.

 
 

 

I Heart Art

The Newark Arts Alliance will be hosting a dessert tasting, featuring treats from local restaurants. What a fun event on the weekend before Valentine’s Day!  Taste desserts from local restaurants, sip some wine, maybe buy some jewelry or other artwork made by a local artist. February 8th, 6:30 P.M.

 

Line Up: Social Dance Without a Partner

People have danced in lines for centuries. Now it’s your turn! This presentation will teach students line dance beginning with folk dance, moving to the American phenomenon of country line dance, and including today’s forms of line dance that range from soul to rock. Open your minds, get ready to move, and feel the joy of social dance without a partner. CAMP Rehoboth, February 7th, 7 P.M.
