Executive Order expands mentoring effort

The Mentoring Council is a group of state leaders with the purpose of increasing the impact of mentoring in the state. Executive Order 24 restructures the the council to add members in recognition of the expanded participation of Delaware’s business community.
Markell says, “Mentoring can make a tremendous difference in the lives of both the mentor and the youth. My wife Carla has served as a mentor for several years, so I’ve seen firsthand how valuable it can be.”
Today, First Lady Carla Markell will deliver the keynote address at the second annual Mentoring Works Summit held in recognition of National Mentoring Month.
