Philadelphia (October 19, 2009) Electronic tickets to the 2010 Philadelphia International Flower Show, “Passport to the World,” are now available for purchase and download at theflowershow.com. The 2010 Show, to be held February 28 to March 7 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, will take visitors on an exotic journey to dozens of destinations around the globe.
“Passport to the World’ is an invitation to gardeners everywhere to join us in Philadelphia for a fabulous event that highlights the best of horticulture and design,” said Jane Pepper, president of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, which produces the Flower Show.
“Passport to the World” will present an international bouquet of exhibits including an appreciation of flowers and plants from Brazil, Singapore, the Netherlands, India, South Africa and New Zealand.
The Flower Show, the oldest and largest indoor show of its kind, is a fundraiser for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, a statewide organization that engages, trains and empowers people who want to learn about gardening, and encourages them to transform their communities through greening. Proceeds of the Flower Show go to Philadelphia Green, PHS’s acclaimed program and the nation’s largest comprehensive community greening program that serves as a model for cities across the U.S.
