Downed tree causes power outage in E. Mt. Airy and Germantown (Update)

PECO crews are working to restore power to an estimated 2,000 customers who lost it as a result of a downed tree around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Liz Williamson, a PECO spokeswoman, said the tree downed power lines in the 6800 block of Ardleigh St.

“Crews arrived shortly thereafter and are working to make the necessary repairs,” she said.

NewsWorks will keep an eye on this to update when power is restored to PECO customers in East Mt. Airy and East Germantown.
