An airman stationed at Dover Air Force Based has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor
An airman stationed at Dover Air Force Based has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor, according to the Dover Police Department.
Police have charged Zepplin Taylor-McGinness, 21, with Second Degree Rape after they say he engaged in sexual acts with a 14-year-old on several occasions.
The guardian of the teenage runaway contacted the police department after learning the girl was staying at the Dover Country Club Apartments with an unknown person, police state. After locating the minor, she was returned to her guardian.
The Dover Police Department and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations launched a joint investigation into the alleged crime. Police arrested Taylor-McGinness on Monday, and charged him with four counts of Second Degree Rape and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He has been committed in default of a $100,050 secured bond.
Last year, Dover airmen Dalian Washington and Akeem Beazer pleaded guilty to charges of sexual abuse of a minor. Washington also pleaded guilty to child sex trafficking charges. The men were accused of picking up a 15-year-old runaway for sex after the girl spoke with a social worker.
