Dog of the Week: Keturah

Keturah (A13714083), known as “Squeak” because of her love for squeaky toys, is a beautiful, spunky, super-smart, playful border collie mix looking for her forever home.

Her previous owner fell ill and wasn’t able to care for her anymore, so Keturah ended up at ACCT. Being surrendered hasn’t broken this happy girl’s spirit. She is always a smiling and happy-go-lucky girl.

Keturah is really smart and already knows basic commands, so with training, she’ll be able to learn lots of cool things. Speaking of training, she is potty trained.

She focuses on her human friends and she’s super affectionate and sweet. She takes treats gently and she doesn’t have any treat or food aggression issues. She doesn’t have any issues with toys, either. While she loves playing with toys, squeakers, balls or any other toy you want to give her, you can easily get Keturah to drop it without a problem.

She greets her canine friends appropriately and could live with other dogs, pending a dog meet. She didn’t pay any attention to kitties, so she could live with them too.

Because she is an energetic girl, her greatest issue being at the shelter is not being able to properly drain her energy. Keturah walks beautifully on the leash and will walk side by side with her human friends. So she’ll make a great walking or running partner. Just think, you won’t have to exercise alone anymore!

Keturah is a balanced, happy, playful, sweet girl that is looking for her new human best friend! If you think you are that human, or if you have any questions about Keturah, please message one of her Pen Pals to set up a meet: ivolunteer4paws AT aol.com or dogomine AT gmail.com. We promise, she won’t disappoint!
