Does Philadelphia get a national snub on July 4?

The Fourth of July is an important time in the Philadelphia region, considering the vital role the city played in the history of American independence. However, Philly’s fireworks display is not broadcast on national television, while similar celebrations in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Boston are. Fair?
