District, School Advisory Council agree on most Renaissance matches

The School Reform Commission is set to vote today on six Renaissance School matches made by the School District of Philadelphia.

Three charters, Mastery, Mosaica and ASPIRA, are primed to take over the six public schools. As NewsWorks partner the Public School Notebook reports, the district and the School Advisory Council agreed on five of six matches, Olney West being the odd man out.

Protests from the school promoted the SAC to recommend Olney West as a district-run Promise Academy. But the district is moving forward with Renaissance plans, and has recommended Olney West be matched with ASPIRA.
