Denn honors foster families
More than 300 foster parents, foster care agencies and other child welfare officials will be in Dover today for the annual foster parent conference and recognition banquet.
This year’s conference is entitled Life Changers: Impacting Today for a Better Tomorrow and will feature keynote speaker Chauncey Strong. The event also includes workshops to help foster families understand the needs of children and improve their parenting skills. Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn will also present details of his efforts to encourage members of the faith-based community to get involved in foster parenting.
