Democratic U.S. Senate candidates in N.J. debate tonight

The second and final Democratic Senate debate will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at the WBGO Performance Studio at 54 Park Place in Newark. Four Democrats are seeking their party’s nomination on Aug 13. Tuesday’s winner will face other party nominees in a special election on Oct 16 to fill the remaining year of the Senator Frank Lautenberg’s term. Lautenberg died in June at the age of 89. The four Democrats running are Sheila Oliver, Rush Holt, Cory Booker, and Frank Pallone.
At tonight’s debate the questions will come a panel of journalists, which will include WHYY’s Audio News Director Eugene Sonn.
