Delmarva Power hosts meeting on new power lines
Delmarva Power will host a community meeting tonight to discuss the company’s proposed 12-mile high-voltage power line from Bishopville, Md. to Millsboro.
Construction on the $15.7 million transmission line is slated to get underway in Delaware in November and in Maryland in February. It should be done by May 2012. The company says the line will help maintain reliability in southern Delaware and on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Tonight’s meeting will be held at the Dagsboro Fire Department at 7 p.m. A second meeting will be held at the Bishopville (Md.) Fire Department on May 10.
