Delmarva Black Chamber of Commerce holds town meeting

The Delmarva Black Chamber of Commerce will hold a town meeting to discuss economic and social issue concerns in Dover.

The Rev. Gregory Gordon of My Bretheren Ministries will be one of people leading the discussion.  He says he’d like to focus on how contractors are selected for projects like the Dover Public Library.  He says not enough local workers were used on the project.

Clay Hammond of the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce said the purpose of the meeting is to begin a dialogue on issues facing the black community.  He emphasizes that, “this is not going to be a bitching session.”

The meeting will take place at Bible Way Temple Church of God at 56 S. Kirkwood St. from 2-4pm on Saturday.
