Delaware’s Firefly Festival lineup finally revealed, sort of

After a delay of several weeks, festival organizers have finally released the lineup for this year’s Firefly, with one glaring hole.

Paul McCartney’s name was featured in the top spot on what seemed to be a legitimate festival lineup poster that was leaked online several weeks ago. But now that the official lineup poster has been revealed, that top spot features a blurred out name. Will that spot eventually be filled by Sir Paul? Firefly organizers said “the highly anticipated third headliner” is yet to be revealed.

As for who we know who will perform, The Killers and Kings of Leon will headline the fourth annual Firefly Festival at the Woodlands at Dover International Speedway. It’s the first appearance for Kings of Leon, while The Killers headlined the inaugural Firefly Festival in 2012.

Also performing at this year’s event will be rap legend Snoop Dogg, Morrissey, Foster the People, Kid Cudi, Cage the Elephant, Charlie XCX and Bastille, along with more than 100 other acts.

Organizers expect this year’s event to be even bigger than last year’s festival, which saw more than 80,000 people descend on Dover for the event that expanded to a fourth day in 2014. The 2015 festival will also start on a Thursday and run through Sunday night.

This year’s event will also be the first to be filmed for broadcast on the cable network AXS TV.
