Delaware students can learn more about opportunities in the service academies

Delaware U.S. Senator Tom Carper tonight hosts his 11th Service Academy Information Night for students in middle school and high school to learn more about options in the service academies.

The session is being held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Delaware Technical Community College Terry Campus in Dover.  Representatives from the U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Coast Guard and Delaware National Guard will be on hand, as well as from various ROTC programs.  The program is open to students, their families, teachers and school counselors.  “Our nation’s first-rate service academies offer students a unique opportunity to obtain an excellent education, serve their country and gain valuable leadership skills that will guide them in their future,” Carper said.  “This information night provides students and their families with a helpful forum to come and learn more about the opportunities available at our service academies.”
