Delaware shooting victim found with 700 bags of heroin

Wilmington Police say the victim tried to dump the drugs when he arrived at Wilmington Hospital to be treated for the gunshot wound.

Wilmington Police are now looking into how the 21-year-old Wilmington man was shot.  They say the victim is being uncooperative in the investigation.  Investigators believe he was shot in the area of W. 7th and N. Clayton Streets around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

While police may not be able to arrest the shooter yet, they do have warrants signed for the victim’s arrest when he’s released from the hospital.  He’ll face drug charges after allegedly trying to dump 703 bags of heroin before being treated at the hospital.  Ironically, police say the bags were stamped with the words “Gun Play.”
