Delaware senior citizens face deadline for open Medicare enrollment

Delawareans are being reminded that there is now less than a week to take advantage of open enrollment in Medicare.

Congressman John Carney said that thanks to the Affordable Care Act, seniors on Medicare are now eligible for additional benefits, including lower prescription drug costs through a 50% discount on covered brand name drugs in the coverage gap, wellness checkups, and access to certain preventive care services with no co-payments.  “Now through December 7, Medicare beneficiaries can review and change their coverage to find the plan that will work best for them in 2012,” added Senator Tom Carper.  CLICK HERE for more information.
