Delaware private school headmaster indicted on multiple child pornography charges

The former headmaster of one of Delaware’s elite private schools is now facing multiple child pornography charges after his arrest last month.

According to Attorney General Beau Biden’s office, a 25-count indictment has been handed down and charges Christopher Wheeler with Dealing in Child Pornography. The indictment which was announced on Tuesday.  It comes after Wheeler’s November 1 arrest on similar charges. The Delaware Child Predator Task Force recovered a series of child pornography images during a search of Wheeler’s property. The images were from computers seized by investigators who searched Wheeler’s home and office in October.

 

The former headmaster recently stepped down from Tower Hill School which serves grades kindergarten through high school. Wheeler is currently being held on $1.5 million cash bail.

Biden said  the public to keep in mind that the indictment is not evidence of guilt therefore the defendant is presumed innocent until proving each charge beyond a reasonable doubt during trial.  Wheeler resigned shortly after his arrest.
