Delaware man killed wife, 3 young children in murder-suicide

A man shot his wife and their three children to death, then killed himself, in their Delaware home.

A 42-year-old Prices Corner shot his wife and their three young children to death before taking his own life, state police said Tuesday.

The victims were found about 8 p.m. Monday night on the second floor of the family’s home in the 2700 block of Ferris Road, off Del. 141.

The gunman was identified as Matthew Edwards. Police said he killed his 41-year-old wife Julie, and their 6-year-old son, 4-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son. Police did not provide the children’s names.

Autopsies performed by the state Division of Forensic Science found that their deaths were  a murder-suicide, police said.
