Delaware gas prices start the week at $3.68 a gallon

A temporary drop in Delaware gas prices did not last long- the price at the pump is up by one-penny over the weekend, averaging $3.68 a gallon.

AAA MidAtlantic said gas prices actually declined last Tuesday for the first time since late January.  However, by the end of the weekend the price was up one-cent from the previous week, and the national average was up by three-cents to $3.79.  Spring is still two weeks away, and the season normally brings higher gas prices.  Analysts think prices will top out in the range of $3.75 to $4.25 before a possible retreat later in the summer.  “However, there are numerous factors in play nationally and internationally that could influence gas prices as we head into the spring and summer months, so it will be a game of wait and see,” AAA MidAtlantic Public Affairs Specialist Jana Tidwell said.  The average price of a gallon of gas is $3.58 in South Jersey and $3.77 in southeastern Pennsylvania.
