Delaware gas prices rise for third straight week

The price at the pump continues to rise in Delaware, where gas now sells for an average of $3.73 a gallon.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the cost of filling up has risen for the third week in a row.  Until about June 30th, the price had been declining after reaching a peak close to $4-per gallon in early May.  AAA Mid-Atlantic’s Jana Tidwell says “anaylsts continue to believe gas prices will remain below $4 a gallon in the near term.”  The average price in Delaware a year ago was $2.64.  The recent increase has been driven by higher costs of crude.  CLICK HERE to track gas prices in your town or neighborhood through AAA’s Fuel Price Finder.
