Delaware beach restoration celebrated

A $35-million beach restoration project in southern Delaware has been completed.

The project included the dredging and replacement of three-million cubic yards of sand.  The “ocean beach nourishment” effort included beaches from Lewes to Fenwick Island.  Elected officials are gathering today on Rehoboth Beach to celebrate the project, which was completed in June.
