David Oh loses FOP endorsement for council-at-large race

David Oh’s many apologies won’t bring back the Fraternal of Police endorsement he just lost.

A Republican candidate in Philadelphia’s council-at-large race, Oh got heat last week from the military for embellishing his career in the service. For that, the FOP has withdrawn its endorsement.

The Daily News reports Oh has offered to destroy campaign materials that advertise him as a Special Forces member and Green Beret after officials said last week Oh did not meet the necessary qualifications to call himself either.

Aside from his apologies, Oh has offered to return campaign contributions to those upset with him and pay for full-page ads in the DN apologizing for his “lack of attention to detail.”
