DART bus hit by stolen car

A car stolen after midnight Wednesday morning crashed into a DART bus this morning, injuring the bus driver and a passenger.

Wilmington Police say two men took off in an Acura MDX after the owner of the car left his keys in the ignition while he went to use an ATM at M&T Bank at 15 W. Lea Boulevard just after midnight.

Around 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, police noticed the Acura driving erratically in the area of W. 33rd and Market Streets. The car ran a stop sign at W. 35th and Washington Streets and collided with the bus.

The bus driver and the lone passenger on the bus were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
